Future Global Leaders Visit AIOI R&D Lab – Oxford for the Third Consecutive Year

Approximately 30 students from Kamakura Gakuen High School, who aspire to pursue global careers, visited AIOI R&D Lab – Oxford as part of their UK language study programme. This marks the third consecutive year that the Lab has welcomed students from the school.

During the visit, Junichi Ikegami, CEO of AIOI R&D Lab – Oxford, and Yui Kondo, Project Support Officer, shared their experiences of studying and working abroad. They highlighted the way international experience broadens perspectives, the importance of language learning, and the value of challenging one's own perceived limits. They also spoke about the excitement of collaborating with researchers, including those at the University of Oxford, to develop solutions to real-world challenges and encouraged students to pursue opportunities beyond national borders.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, with students asking about international careers, studying abroad, and effective language learning. Many commented that the discussion inspired them to think more broadly about their future and the opportunities available overseas.

At AIOI R&D Lab – Oxford, we are committed not only to advancing AI and other emerging technologies to address societal challenges, but also to inspiring the next generation through engagement with educational institutions. Through initiatives such as this, we aim to help develop globally minded talent and contribute to society.
